Easy to set up system, gives access to various national french channels.
Connection can be done via a dish pointing to Astra at 19.2 degrees east. The Visiosat receiver is small and compact, contains a Via Access (5) CAM. The receiver receives TNT-Sat package which uses a Via Access chip card to access the service, the card is valid for 4 years starting from the date the card is inserted into the receiver. The receiver is also 'Canal Ready' meaning that it can be used for french Canal+ (5 channels) or Canal-Satellite (over 100 channels) if a new official chip card can be procured from a 3rd party vendor. The receiver can bind search for free to air channels (22000 and 27000 symbol rates) which are stored in channel positions 1000 onwards. The receiver supports DISEQ for multi LNB inputs or motorisation goto sat X (no position storage or fine movement storage though) Menu language defaults to french, but can also be set to english via menu options. Receiver has a 2 pin european plug so a 2 to 3 pin english adapter may be required. Output is standard definition RGB or video via TV SCART or Video SCART. Has 2 audio RCA sockets and a PCM audio output RCA socket. Remote allows selection of channels / volume / TV or radio / now and next EPG / Subtitles / teletext / audio. Menu allows 10 timer programmes to be set. Favorite channels can be set also. Box has 4 digit channel display, Prog +/-, Vol +/-, Menu / Exit & power buttons. Underneath a flap is a ViaAccess single card reader.
