The EXIP 418 SAT>IP Server from Kathrein "translates" television signals from satellites (DVB-S and DVB-S2) into the IP world for use on internet-based devices.

This enables satellite television in the best quality even on devices that do not have an integrated satellite receiver (e.g. tablets, PCs, etc.).

Satellite signals can be transported via any IP infrastructure with or without cables.

Key features:

• Converts eight DVB-S(2) signals into eight independent IP data streams (SAT>IP standard according to EN 50585)
• The complete TV signal distribution can be done via different network types (LAN, K-LAN, Powerline, WLAN integration via router, e.g. FRITZ!Box)
• Dynamic Mode: Using the eight integrated tuners, eight receivers can be operated independently of each other (complete satellite program offering for eight receivers)
• Possible receiving devices: Tablets, PCs, smartphones, notebooks, SAT>IP-capable receivers (e.g. UFS 926), as well as SAT>IP-capable TV sets
• Web interface for configuration, administration and installing software updates
