Product Description

GLOBAL INVACOM FIBRE IRS OTx KIT 1310nm

REPLACEMENT KIT FOR FIBRE LNB (925004)

FULL KIT - SUPPLIED WITH 20V PSU - POWER REQUIRED VIA F TYPE CONNECTION

Introducing the new OTx optical converter headend kit from Global Invacom. This OTx converter kit is fully compatible with all the past and current FibreIRS equipment and designed for future compatibility. This set replaces the functionality of the optical LNB and ODU32. Available in 1310nm and 1550nm output wavelength variants. The transmitter converts 1 satellite position along with 1 DVB-T/T2 or DVB-C to a single fibre cable, making it possible to work with longer lengths and with very little loss.

  • FibreIRS FC/UPC optical output
  • Fully compatible with GI O2O and existing FibreIRS systems
  • Wideband input
  • Wall or pole mountable
  • 1310nm
  • Includes Wideband LNB

POLE OR WALL MOUNTING

The OTx fiber transmitter comes with a bracket on which the OTX can be attached to a mast, with which it can be mounted at the dish.

POWER SUPPLY + LED INDICATOR

This transmitter must be powered with a 20V power supply. The power supply is included as standard and has an f-connector connection for connection to the OTx. Next to this connection is an LED that indicates whether the OTx is receiving power or not.

TWO INPUTS FOR WIDEBAND LNB

The OTx has 3 inputs, 2 of which are intended for satellite. This is too little for a quattro LNB, but that is why Global Invacom has focused on the use of a wideband LNB, with a wideband it is possible to put VH and VL on a single coax and HH and HL also on one coax, therefore when using a wideband LNB only 2 cables are required from the dish to the OTx, ultimately saving on coax.

ONE INPUT FOR UHF

In addition to being able to work with a satellite signal, there is also 1 input specifically for UHF, such as signals from DVB-T/T2, DVB-C or DAB+. Note that the frequency range in which this system operates is 88 MHz – 694 MHz.

REPLACEMENT FOR THE TRADITIONAL FIBRE LNB

Should a Fiber Optic LNB ever fail (think of the popualr Global Invacom 925004) then this OTx system can serve as a replacement as the OTx is backwards compatible with FibreIRS, the line where the Fiber Optic LNB from Global Invacom is located. The GTUs and MDUs ( D000187, D000188, F101589, F101588, F102029 and F102030) also fall into this FibreIRS line and therefore work with this system and do not need to be replaced.

CABLE

This system works with single mode cables like the FibreIRS line.

WAVELENGTH 1310nm

With the 1310nm wavelength it is possible to apply CWDM. This technique stands for Conventional/Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing, which in English means wavelength multiplexing, with which it is possible to simultaneously output multiple and different wavelengths on a single fiber cable. The wavelengths that Global Invacom uses for this are 1310nm and 1550nm. This makes it possible to fully transmit 2 satellite positions over one optical cable.
