With older generations of tivùsat cards being progressively phased out, choosing a current-generation receiver and smartcard is increasingly important for customers replacing an older tivùsat system.

Better still, Pulsat supplies the viewing card pre-activated, so there is no need for the customer to provide an Italian Codice Fiscale or Italian address for activation.

Italian TV in HD and 4K Ultra HD

tivùsat provides access to a huge selection of Italian television and radio channels broadcast by satellite, including many channels in High Definition and a growing selection of Ultra HD services.

Popular channels available through tivùsat include:

RAI 1, RAI 2, RAI 3, RAI 4, RAI News 24, RAI Sport, RAI Storia, Rete 4, Canale 5, Italia 1, LA7, Iris and RAI 4K, together with many more Italian and international channels.

Unlike receiving the free-to-air versions of Italian channels directly from Hotbird, the official tivùsat smartcard decrypts the tivùsat services, helping to avoid the programme blackouts that can occur on certain channels because of broadcasting-rights restrictions.

4K UHD, HEVC and HDR

The DigiQuest Q99 is fully equipped for the latest generation of satellite television.

It supports resolutions all the way up to 2160p 4K Ultra HD, together with HEVC/H.265 decoding and HDR10.

The Q99 also supports HbbTV 2.0.1, bringing traditional satellite television together with internet-delivered interactive services.

When connected to the internet, compatible services can include RaiPlay, Mediaset Infinity and other HbbTV applications, giving viewers access to additional catch-up and on-demand content directly through the receiver.

Internet connectivity is available through the built-in Ethernet LAN connection or by using a compatible optional USB Wi-Fi adapter.

Record and Pause Live TV

The DigiQuest Q99 is also PVR Ready.

Once the recording feature has been activated, an external USB hard drive or suitable USB storage device can be connected to record television programmes.

The receiver also supports Timeshift, allowing live television to be paused and resumed.

This makes the Q99 an excellent option for customers who want the flexibility of recording without purchasing a receiver containing a permanently installed internal hard drive.

Compatible with Modern Satellite Installations

As well as conventional universal LNB installations, the Q99 supports a wide range of satellite control systems including:

DiSEqC 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2, USALS, Unicable SCR and dCSS.
