Product Description

TELESTAR DIGIBIT R1 SAT>IP & DLNA QUAD INPUT HD DIGITAL RECEIVER

COMPACT SAT>IP / DLNA SERVER - PROVIDES UP TO 4 USERS WITH FTA HD TV & RADIO

COMPATIBLE WITH PLEX (TESTED BY US WITH SYNOLOGY NAS) & TVHEADEND

Satellite distribution is nothing special - multiple users are supplied with digital satellite signals via a multi-LNB or multi-switch, so each user has the full range of channels available. The TELESTAR DIGIBIT R1 takes up this point and adds a decisive factor to the possibilities of distributing digital television signals: The network. To this day, television via the Internet, called IPTV, is widely used as a means of distributing TV content and films over the web and is therefore in contrast to the classical transmission channels such as cable, terrestrial or satellite - at least until now, because: the TELESTAR DIGIBIT R1 allows the distribution of digitally broadcasted satellite signals via the home network for viewing on either your SAT>IP or DLNA compatible device such as phone, table, PC, laptop or Smart TV.

Key Features:

  • Sat-to-IP for up to 4 participants
  • HDTV and SDTV satellite programs
  • To operate with single, twin, quad, quattro, quattro-switch or multiswitch*
  • Unicable / Unicable II / dCSS LNB compatible according to DIN EN 50494
  • Easy installation with plug & play pre-programming
  • Configuration via multi-lingual web interface possible from any computer on the connected network

Digital Sat-to-IP converter for 4 participants

The principle of the transmission is very simple: connect the DIGIBIT R1 to a Quad/Quattro* LNB or a multiswitch, the DIGIBIT R1 then converts the satellite signals into IP technology and sets them for connection to a network router for feeding into a home network. The converted satellite signals can be distributed via LAN and/or WLAN to up to 4 network connections (users) in the house and received by IPTV-capable terminals. These can be so-called "clients" such as PCs, notebooks, tablet PCs, smartphones (with the appropriate software or app), IPTV Receiver, TV sets or game consoles. In the case of DLNA capable devices no such 'app' is needed as the DLNA device will already see the IP transmission by default.

The DIGIBIT R1's web interface allows the user to customise favourite channel lists making viewing programmes a breeze.

* A single or twin LNB can be connected giving access to either one or two users respectively.

TV and more

The DLNA compatible TELESTAR DIGIBIT R1 converts the DVB-S signals to IP. Of course, this is done in the best picture and sound quality, which of course includes HDTV and Dolby Digital. If supported by the client, additional functions such as the retrieval of teletext and EPG data, the recording function or a time-shifted playback of the television program (the so-called Timeshift) can be ustilised.
