Simple Twist-On Installation

The Pulsat FCON01G is designed for straightforward installation onto suitably prepared coaxial cable.

Unlike compression or crimp connectors, which require dedicated installation tools, the FCON01G uses a twist-on fitting that grips the cable as the connector is rotated into position.

This makes it a practical option for occasional installations, cable repairs and situations where specialist connector tools are not available.

Installation Instructions

1. Carefully remove the outer insulation from the coaxial cable to expose the screening braid.
2. Fold the screening braid back over the outer cable insulation, ensuring no strands contact the centre conductor.
3. Prepare the inner dielectric and centre conductor to the appropriate length.
4. Position the connector over the prepared cable and rotate it clockwise until firmly seated.
5. Check that the centre conductor is correctly positioned and that no screening strands are causing a short circuit.
6. Screw the completed F-type connector onto the compatible equipment socket.
