The VU+ Duo 4K Lite is a powerful 4K Ultra HD Linux satellite receiver featuring the flexible Enigma2 operating platform, Full Band Capture (FBC) satellite reception, Gigabit networking, Dual Band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4 and comprehensive recording and streaming capabilities.

This version is supplied fitted with 1x DVB-S2X FBC Twin Tuner module, providing 8 demodulators for highly flexible simultaneous viewing, recording and streaming.

At the heart of the Duo 4K Lite is a 1.7GHz Dual Core processor, supported by 2GB DDR4 RAM and 8GB eMMC Flash memory. HEVC/H.265 hardware decoding provides full support for Ultra HD 2160p television services.

The receiver also features two Plug & Play tuner slots, allowing additional compatible tuner configurations to be added if required.

A removable 2.5" SATA hard drive bay allows an optional HDD to be installed for PVR recording, live pause and timeshift functions.

What is a DVB-S2X FBC Twin Tuner?

The fitted DVB-S2X Full Band Capture (FBC) Twin Tuner contains 8 demodulators.

With two conventional satellite feeds, for example from a Twin, Quad or Octo universal LNB, the FBC tuner effectively provides two independently fed tuners together with six additional demodulators operating within the available satellite bands.

This allows channels from up to 8 different transponders to be received simultaneously, subject to the satellite feed configuration.

This makes it possible to watch one programme whilst recording or streaming several others at the same time.

When used with a compatible SCR/Unicable or dCSS installation (EN50494 / EN50607) providing sufficient user bands, all 8 demodulators can operate with substantially greater independence.
